Princess and the Frog
Princess and the Frog is one of the best Disney princess movies hitting the screen in a long time. It's a hit! The movie, an adaptation of the E.D. Baker's classic tale, The Frog Princess
Taking place in classic south 1920's, New Orleans, Louisiana, in a time where hard work seemed never ending and those who had seemed never to lose - the movie was set in true historical America. The separation between rich and poor reveals itself when Tiana as a little girl, returns home from the stately home of her mother's best client, Big Daddy La Bouff, to her own family's dilapidated surroundings.
Tiana as a young child is encircled by love and community (much different than today's world). It's evident because her family doesn't have much, but what they do have, they don't mind sharing with those around them. Hard work and values are instilled in her early on and though the movie will subsequently take a different turn, those values will come in handy in the end.
As a family movie, Disney's the Princess and the Frog is a must see movie. It was a great movie for me considering that sometimes we get to a place where it seems that our hard work and dreams are never coming into fruition. If nothing else, the movie was encouragement (and pretty realistic) not to ever give up. Disney can keep making movies like this! I love to hear my little girls walking around telling each other I'm Almost There! 
Directed by winning team John Musker and Ron Clements (also directors of The Great Mouse Detective, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Hercules, and Treasure Planet), Princess and the Frog brings the animation team back to its roots with hand-drawn animation not done since 2004. “At every turn,” director Ron Clements says, “we realized that we could reach out and touch the legacy of the animated Disney fairy tale, and yet move in surprising and interesting new ways, rather than slavishly imitating or reproducing what had been done before.” It proves that 2-D (2 dimensional) can have more "umph" than 3-D when talented filmmakers put old fashioned snap back into animation.

Like most Disney animated movies, this also is a musical. Set in old south 1920's jazz inundated New Orleans. Louisiana, Princess and the Frog is a refreshing, lively tale that features a phenomenal cast. Anika Noni Rose as Princess Tiana, Oprah Winfrey and Terrence Howard as Tiana’s parent Eudora and James, Bruno Campos as the self-assured Prince Naveen, Keith David as the villainous voodoo king Dr. Facilier aka Shadow Man, Jim Cummings as Ray, the firefly with the “Big Back Po-tch," the hilarious Jenifer Lewis as the wise Mama Odie, Queen of the Bayou, Michael-Leon Wooley as Louis, the big baby jazz playing Alligator, Peter Bartlett as Prince Naveen’s spiteful assistant, Jennifer Cody as Charlotte ("Loddy") LaBouff, spoiled rich, but a true friend to Tiana, and John Goodmand as Big Daddy Charlotte's father who seemingly has a big heart.

Here's Another Fantastic Movie Offer
Released in latter 2009 in the US (other release dates vary worldwide). Princess and the Frog presents amusing characters giving memorable lines and it's an all around fun, lovable movie that will have you singing and tapping your hands even after the movie is over. No doubt this movie hits tops as a positive movie and Princess Tiana is a great rold model for all young girls regardless of ethnic background. This movie shows us once again that through a little hard work, faith, and love all of our dreams can come true.
